We don't slack off even at Christmas – we are currently planning a whole series of concerts and parties for you to attend next year. We have already introduced some of them to you, while others are still waiting to be announced. But of course, we are focusing mainly on preparations for the next edition of Prague Gothic Treffen. The twenty-first edition will take place on August 28 and 29, 2026, at the now traditional location, namely the Fuchs2 and Bike Jesus clubs on Štvanice Island.
You definitely couldn't have missed the most popular name on the Hungarian electronic/pop noir scene. The duo Emese Arvai-Illes and Krisztian Arvai, aka Black Nail Cabaret, have been around since 2008, and during that time they have released several excellent albums (including last year's "Chrysanthemum"), EPs, and singles. Their greatest asset, however, is their breathtaking stage presence, often featuring hand-sewn costumes, actors, and dancers. Black Nail Cabaret returns to PGT after nine years. We won't reveal what form they will take in Prague just yet, but rest assured that it will be worth it again.
Black Nail Cabaret - Bête Noire
If we had to name one post-punk band that has managed to completely blow away listeners on both sides of the Atlantic in recent years, it would be Spain's Darkways. The trio from Barcelona skillfully blends post-punk foundations with a generous dose of darkwave, rock, and metal. So far, they have only released one album, "Resonance," but in a few days we will see the release of their new album, "Rust." And believe us, their live energy is truly captivating—you can see for yourself if you attend their concert at PGT. This will be their debut in the Czech Republic.
Only a few names on the goth rock scene can be considered true legends. One such name was created by Gary Marx (ex-The Sisters of Mercy) and Anne-Marie Hurst (ex-Skeletal Family) after leaving their home bands in 1985, and they called it Ghost Dance. The band released a few singles, one compilation, and a single album before breaking up in 1989. It was a huge surprise when the band reunited three decades later, crowning their comeback with the album "The Silent Shout" two years ago. Although the lineup has undergone some changes, the band is still dominated by the unique voice of the untamed Anne-Marie behind the microphone. The first of the headliners of the 21st PGT is called Ghost Dance, and you will see them in their Czech premiere!

In the meantime, we'll focus on preparing the rest of the program and one big surprise, which we'll reveal as soon as everything is confirmed.
