XX. PRAGUE GOTHIC TREFFEN PRESENTS NEW NAMES FROM THIS YEAR'S PROGRAMME

Today, we will reveal the third quarter of the music menu of the traditional bat gathering.

Half of the wait for the anniversary edition of Prague Gothic Treffen is over. This year we are going to celebrate with you the 20th anniversary of the event, which has grown from the very root of the Czech Gothic Underground to a two-day international gathering with a number of attractive international performers. As in previous years, the date of the event is the last weekend of August, 29-30 August 2025. The venue remains the Fuchs2 and Bike Jesus clubs, located on the island of Štvanice near the centre of Prague.

So far, we have introduced eight names that you will be able to see live at this year's PGT: Swedish synthpop masters Ashbury Heights, gritty Italian goth rockers Date At Midnight, Belgian EBM/dark electro act Mildreda, Berlin post-punkers Bleib Modern, Scottish multi-genre sensation Kill Shelter, Greek electro/darkwave duo Kalte Nacht, Polish witchpop beauty Agnis and Swiss synth hitmakers Blackbook. Now we're throwing in another four acts that are definitely worth the trip to the heart of the Czech Republic for.

The first of the names announced today, however, will not bring a musical performance. The Hell Show features body modifications performed by legendary Prague tattoo and piercing studio Hell, combining hook suspension and audiovisual show on stage. This unique performance by masters of their field is a stunning spectacle not for the faint of heart. So if you are accompanying underage visitors, please consider attending this performance in advance.

The mysterious darkwave/goth project Dark hails from Hamburg and in its short existence has managed to hype up all music and social platforms across Europe. The band has been producing brooding, atmospheric tracks since 2020, with a strong emphasis on visuals. Dark has collaborated with some of the most prominent alternative models, who appear in his music videos and during the infrequent live performances. We are very pleased to present Dark at this year's PGT in the Czech premiere.

Warsaw's Decadent Fun Club mix dark and emotive soundscapes with a touch of cool glamour. The captivating flare of the 80s and 90s meets modern energy in their music, and the androgynous vocalist Paveu adds a stamp of originality to their sound. Their last year's album "OKO" received rave reviews in the media and praise from fans, leading an intense touring from basements and squats to the biggest festival stages. Another secret tip in the programme of the anniversary edition of Prague Gothic Treffen.

"To hear such a fantastically tight live band is always a treat...  professorial sovereignty, yet no dry academicism, but confident energy." These are the words Ezechiel used to describe last year's great performance of German post-punkers Escape With Romeo. And this is not an exception – this group, gathered around singer and guitarist Thomas Elbern, is famous for their live concerts. EWR have 36 years of existence, 13 albums (including last year's excellent "Suspicious Bliss") and a number of hits that they have not yet had the opportunity to perform live in Prague. You will remember this concert for a long time!

That completes today's batch of information. But we can assure you that there are four more musical performers and one big surprise that we are currently working on. Of course, there will also be afterparties hosted by experienced DJs.

If you don't have your ticket yet, we recommend buying it soon exclusively at GoOut.cz – they are selling about twice as fast as last year. You don't want to spend the next 20 years worrying that you just missed this year's anniversary...
