There is only one month left until the start of the anniversary edition of PGT. Let's take a look at some of the details that await you this year.
As we promised, we are treating this year's Prague Gothic Treffen as a celebration of the past two decades of our work. Thanks to you, our visitors, what started as a local party with reproduced music has become a sought-after two-day event for visitors from all over Europe and overseas. We firmly believe that everyone will enjoy this year's event.
As a warm-up party, we decided to organize PGT Cruise this year. The Friday afternoon cruise is already sold out, so if you didn't manage to buy tickets in advance, you can only sadly wave goodbye to the participants from the shore. Details about the cruise will be available soon in a separate post.
The gates of PGT itself will open at Fuchs2 and Bike Jesus clubs on Friday at 8 p.m. Over the course of two days, you can look forward to a total of fourteen performers and several DJs who will keep you entertained on both stages until the early hours of the morning. But let's take it one step at a time.
First, we have the unpleasant duty to announce that, due to health reasons, Polish band Decadent Fun Club will not be playing at this year's PGT. We have chosen their compatriots, goth-punk/deathrock band Natures Mortes, who released their debut album "Blind Submission" on the Bat-Cave label a few weeks ago, to fill the vacant spot. If you haven't had the chance to be swept away by their energetic stage presence, be sure to keep your ears open!

Now let's take a look at the DJ lineup. Here, too, there has been one change: the originally planned Hybrid DJ set by Kill Shelter will not take place this year. Pete Burns has issued the following statement: "It’s with a very heavy heart that I must share some difficult news: I will not be performing my scheduled hybrid DJ sets at the upcoming festivals this year. This decision has been incredibly hard to make. Over the past few months, unforeseen personal circumstances have arisen that require my full attention and presence. Despite my deep desire to honour these commitments, I am simply unable to give the sets the attention, energy and focus that they, and you, deserve. I understand that this may come as a disappointment, and for that, I am truly sorry. Please know that this choice was not made lightly, and it stems from a place of necessity rather than desire. Pete".
We have a replacement for you here that we hope you will enjoy. DJ Rapha Hell, the leading figure of Extize and Basszilla and head of the agile darkTunes label, will be coming to perform his untamed DJ set. Join the enthusiastic crowds who have rocked out to his synthpop/darkpop/goth rave sets at festivals such as Amphi and Castle Party. The volume and BPM will then be turned up by the seasoned Austrian DJ Terrorissmo, who will guide you through the world of dark electro and harsh EBM.
The afterparties at Bike Jesus will be dedicated primarily to the more guitar-driven offshoots of the dark scene. Friday's set will be played by Slovakian DJs HellHound & Girl Afraid, whose parties, called Sunless, focus primarily on post-punk, coldwave and darkwave. Saturday's dance frenzy will be led by the iconic DJ duo behind the legendary BatCave parties in Bratislava. DJs mary0 & Šony swear by old school goth rock, post-punk and new wave, and we promise you'll get more than your fill.
Saturday's afterparty at Fuchs2 will be traditionally hosted by the Sanctuary.cz DJ crew. This year's motto is again "the most sober ones play": expect the unexpected, simply fun until the morning light. That's how we like it, right?
This year's merchandise will again be expanded with several new items that we haven't offered you yet. The vast majority of them are limited edition, so don't hesitate to buy. In fact, don't hesitate to buy your ticket for PGT either. As we write these lines, there are only a few tickets left in advance sale at GoOut.cz. Don't hesitate, there won't be any more!
