SAAGARA & WACŁAW ZIMPEL (India+Poland)
Saagara, Wacław Zimpel’s Indian orchestra.
Towards the end of 2012, Waclaw Zimpel, inspired by the musical legacies of Terry Riley and La Monte Young, journeyed to India in search of the roots that had influenced the pioneers of minimalism before him. Immersing himself in Carnatic music under the tutelage of seasoned masters during his initial stay, Zimpel was captivated by the rhythmic intricacies and melodic richness of the tradition.
Upon returning, Zimpel proposed the formation of Saagara during a casual conversation with newfound friends in Bangalore, marking the genesis of the band. Yet, mastering the ancient Carnatic system took Zimpel over a year of dedicated practice, especially given the caliber of his collaborators, including Ghiridhar Udupa, Aggu Baba, K Raja, and Mysore N. Karthik.
"3" stands as a testament to Zimpel's ability to bridge diverse musical worlds, crafting a genre-defying sound that transcends cultural boundaries.
TREHA SEKTORI (France)
Treha Sektori is the ritual dark ambient musical project of French musician and visual artist Dan Sora, aka Dehn Sora, also behind the black metal project Throane. Though the date of formation is unknown, the project's first album 'Sorieh' was released in 2009. Since then, Treha Sektori has released two further full-length albums as well as a range of collaborative and experimental efforts including the live album 'Acermeh' in 2016, as well as collaborations with Amenra, Oathbreaker and others.
SONIC AREA (France)
Sonic Area (aka Arco Trauma) is a french cinematic electro hybrid monocephale project.
Cofounder of the audiotrauma collective. Formed in 1997.
More than an experiment Sonic Area is a quest which tends to enlarge the doors of a living and therefore unpredictable sound universe.
Carved with sampler, groove box and computer modifications,
it's a disturbed and instinctive project which perceives each sound as the curve of a space.
The world described looks like a disused factory on a stormy night.
Its style is elusive because it's constantly torn by an intern duality.
ERALDO BERNOCCHI / SIMM (Italy/UK)
Eraldo Bernocchi is an Italian composer, arranger, producer and guitarist with a solid reputation as an all round sonic sculptor. Starting his career in the late 70’s as a guitarist in independent punk bands, in the mid ’80’s Eraldo co-founded the conceptual audio project Sigillum-S (with Paolo Bandera and Luca di Giorgio), which grew into a highly acclaimed international cult act.
In the 90’s, together with the graphic designer and video artist Petulia Mattioli, Eraldo started to create a raft of notable audio visual projects and co-operations. A relentless sound explorer, he collaborated with numerous artists including Mick Harris, Bill Laswell, Nils Petter Molvaer, Harold Budd , Russell Mills, Toshinori Kondo, Raiz and Almamegretta, DJ Disk, Thomas Fehlmann, Zu, DJ Olive, Markus Stockhausen, Giovanni Lindo Ferretti, Robin Guthrie, Colin Edwin, Balazs Pandi, Hoshiko Yamane, Flowdan among many others.
Uniquely, Eraldo is also known for being invited to play and organise various special events for H.H. The Dalai Lama in Italy.
In 2008, together with music lover Giacomo Bruzzo, Eraldo founded RareNoise Records, a new London based label, which aims to showcase a wide range of cutting edge music. The label has since become an important conduit championing several forward thinking and original artists, as well as releasing a number of Eraldo’s own recordings.
In 2018 he scored “Cy Dear”, the first ever doc/film on the life of the legendary artist Cy Twombly which has been presented at MOMA New York , Louvre Paris and National Portrait Gallery London.
His last outputs are SIMM “Too late to dream” together with Grammy winner Flowdan as well as “Sabi” with Tangerine Dream’s member Hoshiko Yamane.
He’s also well known as a sound programmer and designer for Power FX, Swedish synthesiser brand Elektron, Latvian Erica Synths and Attack magazine.
ALESSANDRA ZERBINATI (Italy)
Harsh Noise performance
The sound and visual universe of this artist is tense and heavy. We are talking about Noise and, in this case, extreme Noise. Alessandra sculpts sounds and noises, welds frequencies and dissolves apocalyptic voices. It is also her body which speaks, which she sounds and brutalizes, propelling us towards a dark elsewhere, nourished, among other things, by her revolt against violence against women…
In her years, alongside her, historical names such as Alessandro Cellai (Clock DVA and Pankow), Tomas Jarmir (ZU and Motorpsycho), Frank Falestra (producer of Marilyn Manson & The Spooky Kids).
Considered one of the most controversial and extreme figures on the Italian scene, her performances are one synthesis of theater, butoh dance, body marking and noise.
VOICES OF THE COSMOS (Poland)
is a project created by two sound artists: Rafał Iwański (musician known from HATI, KAPITAL and Innercity Ensemble, ALAMEDA 5, solo performing as X-NAVI:ET) and Wojciech Zięba (Beast Of Prey, solo performing as ELECTRIC URANUS, ) and astronomer Sebastian Soberski, manager of the Planetarium and Astronomical Observatory in Grudziadz and radio astronomer at the Institute of Astronomy at the Nicolaus Copernicus University in Piwnice near Torun. VOICES OF THE COSMOS project combines efficiently the achievements of astronomy with electroacoustic music. The creators use the original extraterrestrial signals and sounds received by radio telescopes (e.g. pulsars, magnetospheres of planets, Sun, aurora borealis, masers) and other radio devices, sometimes they use sonifications and archive recordings from space missions. Instrumental tracks integrated into the processed rhythms and tones of the “space sounds” are created with electronic instruments, both digital and analogue, as well as various acoustic objects. The project has been presented many times in scientific institutions and at music festivals, in the form of audio-visual concerts, also in the version extended with astronomy lectures and sky observations. It is a unique initiative in Poland, which uses the original space recordings.
MALA HERBA (Poland/Austria)
Mala Herba is a solo project of producer, sound artist, and queer activist Zosia Holubowska. Their artistic approach can be described as queering archives through reimagining traditional melodies and magical tropes. Their productions are multi-layered narratives and function as healing rituals.
Their music is inspired by industrial and experimental electronic sounds as well as traditional Polish music. This mixture makes all their performances exceptional in the contemporary electronic music scene. Mala Herba is a searching artist, always looking for new inspirations and re-inventing their style.
Their newest incarnation as a Wounded Healer is an outcome of a three-year process of artistic research and various collaborations. The record and a multi-sensory AV performance that celebrates a communal approach to healing.
They have performed at festivals across Europe like Whole (DE), Pop Fest (AT), Bent Fest (UK), Tauron Nowa Muzyka (PL), Fekete Zaj (HU), Fluff Fest (CZ), and clubs like Urban Spree (Berlin), De School (Amsterdam), Underdogs (Prague), MS Stubnitz (Hamburg), Elektrowerkz (London), Pogłos (Warsaw) and Miscellenia (AU).
In 2022 they released the EP titled Niedola / Woe. It is an audio-visual collaboration between Mala Herba and Sven Harambašić. Mala Herba’s tracks escape genres, weaving ritualistic rhythms, dark lore, and wailing vocals with rough, industrial sounds.

In 2021, they debuted their first LP album titled Demonologia. International critics very well received it. Nick Roseblade from The Quietus called the album “a disco at a witchy ritual”.

In 2023, they appeared as a guest on Naphta ‘Żałość’ critically acclaimed internationally.
They have also appeared on several compilations by Syntetyk, Exiles and Hör to name a few.
ILLUSION OF SAFETY (USA)
Since 1983, on the labels Complacency, Die Stadt, Experimedia, Odd Size, Silent, Soleilmoon, Staalplaat, Tesco, Korm, Drone, no part of it, and Waystyx Burke and his conspirators under the Illusion Of Safety banner have traversed over the course of 40+ full length releases almost every facet of the avant sound plane, from early industrial pop deconstruction to blindingly minimal sound art to densely surreal found-sound collage, each unique approach bending and reconstituting the expectations and possibilities of each realm. Plowing through layered field recordings, deeply rumbling tones, and eerie electroacoustic sounds with seamless transitions between cut-and-paste collages and manufactured drones, it’s easy to get lost in the deep passages. It’s a surreal trip mixing outsourced sounds from all over the world and encompassing everything: abstract analogue synthesizer explorations, chaotic digital noise and voltage fluctuations, generating excitement in the bowels of analog equipment, raucous guitar improvisation, rattle and chilling moan of iron sheets, the creaking floorboards, resonances, fluctuations, scraps of samples is in perpetual motion background- Driven with all this by some miracle , the author creates a monumental music, nervous, anxiety-soaked, but at the same time, disturbing & attention-grabbing, creating a powerful hypnotic effect……. the sounds scatter in all directions, like circles on the water, but at the same time, remain the basis of a continuous, almost ritual, form easily detectable, or, conversely, only slightly palpable. Performing over 300 live concerts throughout Europe and the states included No Fun 2008, the Wroclaw Industrial Music Festival 2009, Sonic Circuits in 2010, with Shen Wei Dance Arts in 2011 at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in NYC, and at the Crisis Data Transfer Pre-Party October 2023. Outside of IOS Burke has collaborated with Jim O’Rourke, Jon Mueller, Randy Greif, Darin Gray, Z’EV, Cheer-Accident, Thomas Dimuzio, Kevin Drumm, Bill Horist, and others.
ANGEL EPILEPSIA (Slovakia/Czechia)
The slightly more esoteric twin of the well-known noise engineer Drén and noise musician MK Vermin. The basis is, on the one hand, rhythmic industrial with a wide range of speeds and dangerous frequency outbursts, but above all, imaginative undertones and neurotic ambients. And above all, meditation at Angel Epilepsia cures cancer in the name of civilization!
SLOW SLOW LORIS (Germany)
Slow Slow Loris use voice and electronics to search for the intersections where melody meets noise, emotional meets avant-garde, feminine meets industrial, non-rhythm meets accuracy, and raw meets craft. Their 5 albums and various tracks were released by Cloister Recordings, Zaetraom, Staaltape, Syrphe, Klang and others. They have toured in western and eastern Europe, Russia, and the USA.
“The animal slow loris is an endangered species. It is believed to be the gatekeepers for the heavens and is used in traditional medicine to ward off evil, but a slow loris is continually seeing ghosts, that is why it hides its face in its hands.”
