This autumn, Brazilian post-punk/electro act THE LAUTREAMONTS are arriving in Europe for a string of concerts in 6 countries ( Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, France, Germany and Czech ).
The band is known for their impactful and dense live performances that includes stunning visuals and lighting effects.
Musically, the duo comprised of Martha F. and Hudson brings a fresh air into the post-punk/darkwave scene with a strong sense of experimentation, psychedelia and contrasting beautiful melodies.
“Think of a mix of Dead Can Dance, Siouxsie and the Banshees, Foetus, Elysian Fields e Black Sabbath. Now we’re getting a little closer to what THE LAUTREAMONTS sound like.”
Just like in the Surrealistic book " The Chants of Maldoror " by Comte de Lautreamont (yes, it's a reference), this music can be described as something as beautiful as the meeting of a sewing machine and an umbrella on a dissecting table.
For this tour, The Lautreamonts will be accompanied by Austrian artist TRAASHBOO (now living in Leipzig, Germany) who brings his frentic industrial/noise twist on hiphop. His insane and memorable live performances will surely blow your mind off.
For fans of : Siouxsie and the Banshees, Elysian Fields, Dead Can Dance, the exotic and some sarcasm.
