Belgický dreampopový projekt The Haunted Youth víří alternativní vody. Pozornost si získal už debutovým singlem Teen Rebel, kombinujícím romantické Slowdive, odzbrojující naivitu M83 i pochmurnost DIIV. Z showcasů se projekt Joachima Liebense dostal na velké festivaly jako Rock Werchter, Pukkelpop nebo Sziget.

V Praze se The Haunted Youth představí 21. listopadu 2023 v rámci koncertní série #UpTONE zaměřené na mladé talenty.

The Haunted Youth is the band of Hasselt-based Joachim Liebens (28), playing mesmerizing psych pop reminiscent of MGMT, DIIV or Slowdive. The songs – about despair, hope, and the feeling of being a misunderstood misfit – are coated in a rich and dreamy international sound. Debut single ‘Teen Rebel’ certainly hit the mark: the band won Studio Brussel’s talent contest De Nieuwe Lichting, and consequently getting a lot of international airplay.
