Jeden z ex-fousatých garážníků a dlouholetý Caveův spoluhráč Jim Sclavunos prozradil v čerstvém interview, že rozpad Grindermanů byl dlouho plánovaným aktem.
"Nemyslím, že je teď na místě nějaké drásavé smutnění, počkejme pár let a uvidí se, co se stane. Je to všechno trochu mlhavé, sorry", řekl ostřílený bubeník, kterého jsme v minulosti mohli vedle Caveových projektů potkat i po boku The Cramps či Sonic Youth.
V rozhovoru pro FasterLouder zároveň vyzradil, že náhlý rozpad Grindermanů na Meredith Festivalu byl ve skutečnosti měsíce plánovanou záležitostí. Fakt, že se kapela rozpadla právě v domácí Austrálii byl příznačný.
"Další věc, co máme v plánu je návrat Bad Seeds...tak trochu jsme je zanedbávali v poslední době, takže je nejvyšší čas zase stvořit dohromady nějakou nádheru", potvrdil spásné zprávy pro všechny zasažené fanoušky garážové kytarovky.
K budoucnosti právě rozpadlého projektu pak dodává: "Možná nás to bude trochu lákat, vydat ještě jedno album s Grindermany, kdo ví, možná se pustíme do nečeho úplně jiného. Vždycky jsou tu vyhlídky na obávané turné.".

In an interview with FasterLouder, Grinderman/Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds drummer Jim Sclavunos said that Grinderman's sudden goodbye at last week's Meredith Festival was not a surprise. "I know months in advance that it was going to be our last show as Grinderman," he said. "Was there any looking back? No."
He also said that while there's a vague possibility of a Grinderman reunion down the road the band members are now focused on the Bad Seeds. "The next thing we are moving onto is the Bad Seeds," Sclavunos said. "We have kind of neglected Bad Seeds of late... it's high time we made some beautiful music together again."
He added, "We may well get the itch to do another Grinderman album or, who knows, maybe something completely different" and "I don't think there should be mourning or rending of garments just yet, let's wait a few years and see what happens. I'm sorry the whole thing’s a bit vague." Finally, "there's always the prospect of the dreaded come back tour!"
